ABOUT OUR STAFF

LAWRENCE

Lawrence was born in Oakville, Ontario in 1955. Having grandparents and his mother, all with artistic back grounds from clay sculpture to landscapes and porcelain hand draped dolls. Spending all of his summers at South Hampton School of arts and meeting A.Y. Jackson of the group of seven artists. That inspired him to be an artist, picking up goldsmithing as a fine art to pursue.
He took his apprenticeship with Howard Manufacturing in Ottawa, Ontario from 1975 to 1980. Then moved west to work for West Winds Goldsmiths in Nelson B.C. for 5 years. Then moved to Vancouver Island where he worked for some of the best goldsmiths and jewellers, such as Grassicks Jewellers and Idar Bergseth of Victoria, British Columbia.
Being a master goldsmith of 30 + years. Which means being able to do every facet in the jewellery industry. As well as restorations of antique jewellery and hand fabrication the European way, there's no job they can't handle.
